Silk was actually born Silk was born in Fredericton (New Brunswick), Canada. Ilkay is the daughter of Peter, an educator and an actor and playwright who is a top performer. Peter was educated at St. Thomas University. Anna holds some first memories of going to rehearsals of plays. Silk was featured in a variety of commercials when she was a young child. She completed a Bachelors of Arts at St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas produced two of its first productions, Seven Menus, and The Kitchen. Silk began her acting career by moving to Toronto the Canadian city of Toronto at the end of November in 1999. After that, she relocated from Toronto to Los Angeles for the remainder of that decade. Silk met her spouse, Seth Cooperman, at an Actor's workshop in Los Angeles, in 2007. They were married in an official ceremony on December 10th, 2009 after they became engaged. The couple reaffirmed their vows on April 10, 2011, in Fredericton at a Jewish ceremony after becoming Jewish.
