Lita Rossana Ford often referred to as Lita Ford, is a British American musician, songwriter and guitarist who served as the lead guitarist of the all-girl hard rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their music and their rebellious lyrics made them popular throughout the world of rock. The group wasn't popular in The United States, it gained enormous popularity overseas. Ford was able to enjoy a long and prosperous career as a solo heavy metal artist after the group split from 1979. She began to take voice lessons followed by her first album "Out For Blood" which was followed by "Dancin" on the Edge. The two albums didn't receive much success and Ford just vanished from the world of rock for a couple of years. In 1988, she released her hit album "Lita". Kiss Me Deadly, and Close My Eyes Forever both quickly became huge hit. However, her popularity was not long-lasting and she was absent from the music industry for a few years.
