Ina Garten, an American author of cookery books as well as Emmy Award-winning host for Food Network's oldest program Barefoot Contessa that began airing in 2002 and will run for 27 seasons to 2020. Ina Garten began her professional career at the White House where she wrote the nuclear energy policy and budget papers. Though she found the career intellectually stimulating initially eventually she dropped interest and decided to purchase a smaller specialty food store - Barefoot Contessa. The store was a success for 18 years. the business extremely profitable before letting it go before acquiring a pen to write her first book. After that, several books were released and she also wrote columns for magazines. Between them she also had her own Food Network show was also successful. Her range of items spans from kitchen equipment to ingredients as well as storage containers. Ina did not go to a cooking institute and hasn't had any experience in a restaurant. She is self-taught. Ina's easygoing style of entertaining and her easy cooking style is well-known.
